The Cross and the circle are symbols that predate Christianity for thousands of years. As they are symbolic of the cycles of nature the path of the sun, (equinoxes and solstices) as well and larger galactic cycles. The cross itself is also a symbol of Matter and thus the planet Saturn in Astrotheology who’s cube we reside inside of the cross being a flat packed cube. The Rose on the cross a symbol of the sacred feminine represents the spirit or soul of the being rising out of material darkness. Christianity was just the latest incarnation of the solar mythos, that being one who embodied the Solar principle of Right action.
